Matternet has launched NHS drone delivery operations in central London.
The rollout connects two of the city’s busiest hospital campuses and marks the company’s expansion into the UK. Matternet says the service is part of its drone delivery operations for the National Health Service in central London.
The company describes itself as the world’s only drone delivery operator with FAA type certification. With the UK launch, Matternet says it now operates across three continents and four advanced regulatory jurisdictions.
The move gives London’s hospital network a new logistics option and extends certified drone delivery into one of Europe’s most tightly regulated airspace markets.
