Percepto Launches Next-Generation Inspection Platform for Energy Infrastructure
Percepto launched a next-generation inspection intelligence platform for energy infrastructure. The system is aimed at oil and gas operators and electric utilities facing rising inspection demand, more complex assets and limited access to experienced field expertise.
The platform was developed with industry experts and shaped by real-world deployments. Percepto said it is designed to bring expert inspection logic into autonomous operations, helping teams capture the right data, collect it in the right way, understand the surrounding context and connect findings to the correct asset.
The new offering combines next-generation Percepto Air drones, inspection-grade onboard autonomy, contextual AI, AIM asset intelligence and managed remote operations. The goal is to move beyond basic automation that only collects data and instead deliver inspection outcomes that reflect how skilled inspectors assess infrastructure in the field.
Energy companies are under pressure to inspect more assets, understand conditions faster and reduce the burden on field teams. Repeated capture and analysis of asset data can give operators a clearer view of infrastructure condition over time, supporting safer field decisions, better maintenance prioritization, stronger asset health management and improved capital planning.
The launch comes as the sector shifts from manual inspection cycles and isolated drone programs toward autonomous systems that extend expert inspection capacity across sites and workflows. Its impact will depend on whether operators can use autonomous inspection intelligence to scale trusted inspections while making energy operations safer, more resilient and more data-driven.
