JOUAV, Systronic to Offer Certified VTOL UAV Pilot Training in Thailand
JOUAV and Systronic will run a certified VTOL UAV pilot course in Thailand. The four-day program is scheduled for June 23-26, 2026, at the Pattaya Drone and Robotics Center in Chonburi Province. It will focus on JOUAV’s fifth-generation VTOL fixed-wing UAV systems.
The training comes as industrial drone use expands in surveying, mapping, infrastructure inspection and natural resource management. JOUAV said the course is designed to meet rising demand for standardized, field-ready operator training. Instruction will follow the company’s standard operating procedures for VTOL systems and combine classroom learning with hands-on flight practice.
Participants will be trained in UAV flight operations, system maintenance, mission planning and data processing workflows. The course is open to public- and private-sector professionals, including surveyors, engineers, forestry specialists and researchers. The Pattaya Drone and Robotics Center provides a dedicated setting for scenario-based drone and robotics training.
JOUAV said consistent in-country training is needed to ensure UAV technology delivers practical value in complex operating environments. The program also reflects the company’s push to support Southeast Asian customers with local training, service readiness and application guidance alongside its UAV platforms. As industrial drone adoption grows, certified operator programs could help improve deployment quality, reduce field risk and speed wider use of VTOL UAVs across the region.
